  1. This period in football has been absolutely insane. Extra time and penalties everywhere. And with last minute winners and +9 minutes left right and centre it’s been a head wrecker. Football has turned into a pantomime; it’s been absolute carnage

  2. 2021/22:
West Ham defeated Sevilla in R16, but lost to Eintracht Frankfurt (eventual winners).
Manchester City lost to Real Madrid (eventual winners).

    2022/23:
Sevilla lost to Manchester City, who, in turn, defeated Champions League holders Real Madrid to reach the final.
Sevilla beat Roma, who were the Conference League title holders, to win the Europa League for the 7th time.
Manchester City and West Ham were in European finals against the Italian sides.

How crazy that City, Sevilla, and West Ham were actually face-to-face each other before this night in Budapest happened.
Sounds like City and West Ham did the same thing, leaving Italy side without European triumphs again?

  3. Whenever another team wins this competition they are classed as ‘Europa League Winners’

Sevilla are different,, they are the Europa League Champions
